Apply the plan to the game you actually play.
Guilty Gear Strive rewards decisive movement and character-specific offense while giving defenders meaningful system resources. Roman Cancel can reshape pressure, combos, and neutral; Burst can interrupt momentum but becomes a tracked resource. The game becomes readable when you separate universal decisions—spacing, anti-air, meter, defense—from the unique win condition each character is trying to establish.
Build one stable neutral button, anti-air, punish, pressure sequence, and defensive escape for your character. Use training recordings to test the situation that repeatedly ends your turn. Review resource use before combo damage: a smaller conversion that keeps meter or corner control may be the stronger tournament choice.

Strive appears across locals, open majors, international tours, and community events. Organizer rules define platform, match length, and character policy. During a set, watch Burst availability, meter conversion, corner position, and how a player answers the opponent’s preferred entry. Adaptation may be a different button, a delayed challenge, or simply refusing to swing in the same gap.
